The Opportunity CACI is seeking a Senior Paralegal (Legal Assistant II) to support the Department of Justice’s mission. This position plays a critical role and involves working on high‑profile cases. The role focuses on litigation support, case management, and database maintenance for upcoming trials and global corporate litigation.

The position offers opportunities for career growth, including tuition reimbursement for Relativity and ACEDS certifications.

Responsibilities

Index, track, and control document discovery, including documents produced and received in discovery.

Compile, prepare, and summarize materials for attorneys in discovery and for motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

Summarize depositions and other transcripts; maintain case files and perform simple legal research.

Index and track exhibits and other material at depositions and at trial.

Prepare exhibit cross‑references.

Assist attorneys in courtroom.

Review documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria.

Compile documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, and other requests.

Qualifications

Four‑year college degree.

Paralegal certificate or an equivalent level of legal training or experience.

At least two years of litigation paralegal experience or related project experience (including internships) in business, finance, accounting, project or document management, policy, research, government staffing, or publishing.

At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Hands‑on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.

Technological proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Understanding of how electronically stored information (computer files) work within an operating system, with experience managing, organizing, and analyzing digital files and folders.

Transferable skills related to ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures and resources.

Ability to consistently deliver high‑quality work under extreme pressure.

DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US Citizenship required).

Pay Range This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor.

Minimum Required Hourly Wage $29.91

Additional compensation can vary based on location, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
