Senior Product Designer | Growth & Transformation
Red Ventures, New York, NY, United States
This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week.
Red Ventures Growth & Transformation (RVGT) team is seeking a Creative Manager and critical thinker to join our growing Creative Team. You'll play an instrumental role in developing core consumer-facing products for external partnerships within the Financial Institution space, while also managing a team of product, or content designers. This role calls for a passionate individual who is highly skilled in creative problem solving, user-centered design processes, foundational knowledge in both UX and UI design, comfort in pitching work to senior level stakeholders, a curiosity in all things AI and a thorough understanding of UX research practices.
The right candidate for this role will be highly organized and collaborative, with a passion for solving problems cross-functionally. You’ll wear many hats, incorporating user-centered content, user data and insights along with UX research into the design solutions you craft. But you won’t do it alone — you’ll have a collaborative cross-disciplinary team of product managers and software engineers alongside you, and access to a strong Creative organization in broader Red Ventures.
What You’ll Do
Deliver highly polished visual designs and extend existing design systems
Drive creative solutions and approach forward autonomously & proactively
Think systematically to optimize UX/UI patterns for ease of use, and provide actionable mentorship to more junior designers
Develop subject‑matter expertise, understand user problems, business goals, how competitors solve them, and where gaps exist
Partner with cross‑functional peers and leads to oversee an experience from concept to handoff to launch
Embrace tooling and collaboration to craft and implement high‑performing UX copy in (and beyond) your designs
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to utilize UX research insights and feedback across businesses and through iteration
Effectively balance user needs and business goals
Assist and support teammates through collaboration, critique and feedback
Build prototypes to validate your designs, then iterate and innovate based on data and findings.
Be autonomous, crave accountability and take responsibility for every detail, every step of the way
What We’re Looking For
4+ years designing consumer‑focused tech across various platforms (web, mobile, apps, etc)
You have a killer portfolio that demonstrates a highly polished visual design sense, a clean command over interaction design, typography and usability, as well as creative strategy
You’re fluent in Figma, prototyping, and working with design systems
You’re a strong communicator and collaborator who is inspired to deliver great work and bring a strategy to life
You have an eagerness to learn, implement and understand new AI technologies in design ops
You’re comfortable presenting to and receiving feedback from senior stakeholders
You are always looking to grow your abilities through feedback and collaboration
You are proactive with strong time‑management skills, taking the initiative for what needs to be done rather than waiting for instructions
You have an understanding of the financial world and its many intricacies
You look to better understand outputs through extensive user research and data insights
You enjoy staying flexible and adaptable in a fast‑changing environment
You deftly juggle multiple projects, set stakeholder expectations, working individually and collaboratively across teams
You can effectively lead workshops and facilitate collaboration across disciplines including senior leadership
Bring a positive, team‑first mindset to your work
Nice To Have

Have animation and branding experience
Experience with usability testing platforms like userlytics.com
