Canvas Property Group is looking for a motivated Leasing Agent to join our in-house leasing team to assist in the East Village of Manhattan and across the larger portfolio under the Director of Leasing and Head of Revenue. This opportunity requires exceptional people skills and the ability to connect with prospective / current tenants to lease apartments. As a Leasing Agent, you will participate in the entirety of the leasing process which will include marketing apartments, generating customer leads, managing show schedules, showing units, gathering application documents, preparing leases and organizing first month’s rent and security deposit payments. We have exclusive leasing assignments across multiple properties throughout New York City. Reports to: Director of Leasing & Head of Revenue Responsibilities

Must be flexible and available to work on-site at properties to lease apartments. Assess property condition to facilitate timely transitions. Create, list, and monitor marketing ads on propriety and third-party leasing platforms with support of our in-house lease administration team. Respond to plentiful inquiries and coordinate team schedules for showings. Report and track leasing data throughout the leasing process in our propriety leasing platform to convert lead generation to showings and leases. Professionally tour prospective tenants through building apartments and amenities, with strong sales ability. Process incoming lease applications, including qualifying prospects and running credit verifications, as well as prepare financial snapshots for financial approval. Prepare leases and coordinate collections of security deposits and first-month rental payments for incoming tenants. Ability to assist Director of Leasing and Head of Revenue with ad hoc projects and other responsibilities (new building assignments, assessing market comparable rents, producing or reviewing copy, etc). Continuous communicate with the Director of Leasing, Head of Revenue and Property Managers to ensure a strong cohesive team. Qualifications

Minimum of 1-4 years’ experience within NYC real estate – as a leasing agent. NY State Licensed Salesperson required. Experience with On-Site Leasing Platform (Preferred/Not Required). Highly organized, with the ability to multitask. A self-starter and team player with the ability to work autonomously. Must have the ability to work and thrive in a fast pace working environment. Must have strong sales techniques and etiquette. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Skilled in the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and technologically savvy. Strong project and time management skills. Knowledge of Rent Stabilization preferred. Compensation: W2 Salary + Performance based bonus = $50,000-$100,000.
