Foreman, HVAC Sheet Metal

Description We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Foreman with a strong background in commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This position is responsible for leading sheet metal crews in the installation, fabrication, and coordination of HVAC ductwork and associated systems on construction projects. The ideal candidate has proven leadership experience, a deep understanding of HVAC systems, and the ability to drive projects to completion on time and within budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise teams of 3-10 workers in the fabrication and installation of HVAC duct systems for commercial and industrial projects.

Familiarity with duct takeoff, submittal management, and various duct connections – snap lock, TDC, ductmate, slip & drive, etc.

Interpret HVAC plans, shop drawings, and blueprints to ensure proper layout and execution.

Coordinate work schedules and ensure crew productivity aligns with project timelines.

Ensure compliance with all mechanical codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Conduct job site inspections to maintain quality control and resolve any on-site issues or conflicts.

Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to coordinate work and solve problems proactively.

Maintain accurate material lists and coordinate deliveries and inventory on site.

Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen in best practices, safety protocols, and company procedures.

Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and documentation as required by the project.

Enforce and lead by example in the implementation of OSHA and company safety procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal installation, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/foreman role.

Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including duct fabrication, installation, insulation, and air balancing requirements.

Ability to read and work off of drawings.

Ability to draw custom duct fittings.

Ability to do onsite modification and fabrication when needed.

Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Drug testing.

Demonstrated ability to communicate with a variety of personalities.

Preferred Certifications

Lift certifications.

PPE training.

OSHA 10 (minimum), OSHA 30 preferred.

Job Type

Full-time (40 hours) permanent position, Monday – Thursday.
