About the Role This position is responsible for defining and executing technology architecture strategies across North America, ensuring regional and market initiatives are aligned with enterprise-wide standards and priorities. The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, regional technology leaders, and global architecture counterparts to assess current capabilities, identify gaps, and develop actionable roadmaps. A key part of the role involves translating complex technical concepts into clear business language and building consensus among diverse groups. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise architecture within a large, complex organization and has a strong command of cloud technologies, data strategy, and process optimization. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role for someone who thrives at the intersection of business and technology.
Responsibilities
Define and lead regional and market architecture strategies in alignment with enterprise technology and business objectives
Engage with business leaders, regional technology directors, and global architects to understand needs and translate them into technology solutions
Assess regional and market technology maturity using global process frameworks and develop roadmaps to reach appropriate capability levels
Work alongside solution architects to ensure that designs for regional and market solutions are consistent with approved roadmaps and standards
Maintain up-to-date documentation of current-state architectures and forward-looking roadmaps to support communication and governance
Track and report on architecture effectiveness using defined KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous optimization
Participate actively in the architecture governance process and uphold standards across the region
Identify and promote opportunities for technology reuse and landscape simplification across markets
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
8 or more years of experience in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, and solution design, preferably in a global or regional capacity
Strong understanding of enterprise technology solutions, data management principles, and infrastructure technologies
Hands-on experience architecting, designing, and implementing large-scale cloud-based solutions
Solid knowledge of business process modeling techniques with a track record of optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders across departments and geographies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical topics to non-technical audiences and build alignment
Flexibility to adapt to evolving business requirements and technology trends while maintaining a coherent architectural vision
Bonus / Soft Skills
Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF
Prior experience in the FMCG or consumer goods industry
Comfort operating in a highly matrixed, global organization with multiple stakeholder groups
Strong facilitation and consensus-building skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
Curiosity and a proactive mindset toward emerging technology trends and their business applications
