About This Role

Boston Scientific’s Interventional Oncology & Embolization (IO&E) Associate is a transitional role to prepare candidates to become a Sales Consultant within the Interventional Oncology Division. The IO&E Associate will be assigned by region to an existing territory in which there is potential to convert and grow the business. IO&E Associates are accountable for delivering exceptional customer service, driving revenue, supporting clinical education, and executing strategic growth initiatives. The role collaborates with the Regional Manager and territory consultant to provide support and drive sales revenue at identified accounts. Each IO&E Associate will report directly to a Regional Sales Manager. IO&E Associates may be required to work outside their primary assignments as required by business conditions.

Responsibilities

Build strong customer relationships through routine visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, product in‑services, procedural observation, and problem resolution.

Establish relationships with Physicians, Nurses, Technicians, Materials Management, Nuclear Medicine, Hospital Administration, and Infection Control.

Provide procedural support in a competitive environment.

Work seamlessly with Sales Consultant allowing them increased selling time.

Take on revenue‑generating projects and goals to support account ownership.

Work closely with Sales Consultants and Regional Sales Managers to evaluate business conditions and sales trends.

Assist in developing quarterly/annual business plans to achieve revenue targets.

Provide timely updates to Regional Manager on ongoing business activities, competitive conditions, industry trends, etc.

Manage expense budget and promotional budget within the guidelines.

Maintain Sales Rep Assigned Inventory (SRAI).

Conduct quarterly and off‑cycle inventory counts.

Timely completion of required training as assigned.

Maintain accurate records of sales and secure purchase orders.

Submit any required administrative paperwork in a timely manner.

Conduct all sales activities according to Travel & Entertainment (T&E) guidelines, Advanced Policies, and Integrity Policies.

Occasional weekends, trade shows, internal meetings and/or meeting participation, committed travel 30‑40%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences, health care, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales, clinical support, health care, or a customer‑facing business role.

Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas, performance metrics, or measurable business objectives.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel a minimum of 30% to 40%.

Ability to lift and transport product inventory and equipment, as required by territory needs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

Salary: $60,000 annualized base, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan and core and optional benefits.
