Life Enrichment Associate
Full-Time ~ Monday - Friday ~ 9:00am-5:30pm ~ No Scheduled Weekends or Holidays
Job Summary You will spend your days with residents and patients: singing, dancing, baking, chatting, crafting, reading, walking, patio parties, and visits from Kids Country students, as well as off‑campus excursions to bowling alleys, shopping malls, sporting events, theaters, restaurants, and more. Responsibilities
Conduct initial assessments and interviews with residents/patients to evaluate therapeutic recreation needs.
Develop individualized therapeutic recreation care plans based on assessments and resident interests.
Document assessments, care plans, attendance, and progress notes; communicate updates to the therapeutic recreation team and interdisciplinary staff.
Monitor and support therapeutic recreation staff to ensure care plans are implemented appropriately.
Assist in the development and coordination of therapeutic recreation programs, events, and monthly activity calendars.
Provide one‑on‑one visits and individualized engagement for residents/patients who cannot or prefer not to attend group activities.
Conduct therapeutic recreation audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Coordinate and support special events in collaboration with the Activities Director and Volunteer Coordinator.
Present documentation to Social Services in preparation for care conferences.
Support the mission and values of HOMETOWN and Country Manor Campus.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; a four‑year degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a health‑related field is preferred.
Demonstrated interest in working with older adults and individuals with physical or cognitive challenges.
Energetic, creative, and able to contribute ideas for engaging, resident‑centered programs.
Willing and able to work closely with residents/patients to enhance their quality of life through meaningful activities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with residents/patients, families, visitors, and staff.
Able to foster positive working relationships across all departments within the organization.
Commitment to upholding the company’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.
Capable of meeting the physical and emotional demands of the role, including standing, walking, and assisting with activities; reasonable accommodations will be made as needed.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
Willingness to learn and use basic computer skills required for documentation and program planning.
