Key Account Manager, Neuroscience
Location: Des Moines, Iowa; Kansas City, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; Omaha, Nebraska; Springfield, Missouri; St. Louis, Missouri (U.S.)
Responsibilities
Operate as an authority on behavioral health trends, both clinically and within geographic markets.
Build coordinated account‑plan strategies, including account structures, patient flow, access landscapes, and market trends.
Gather insights that anchor strategic account plans aligned to customer needs and brand strategies to deliver local market opportunities.
Drive account‑plan development, clarify roles and responsibilities, champion Neuroscience Ways of Working, and hold coalition teams accountable for tactics.
Identify, engage, and develop relationships with population‑health decision makers influencing care within the behavioral health marketplace and systems.
Integrate priority resources, engage internal key partners, and educate customers to increase patient access across care delivery, care coordination, trade, and payer accounts.
Proactively lead internally (field sales, home office, etc.) to meet brand marketing strategies and facilitate account‑plan execution.
Consistently adhere to all company compliance guidelines and policies.
Required Qualifications
Minimum bachelor’s degree.
Valid driver’s license issued in the U.S.
Minimum eight (8) years of relevant work experience, with at least five (5) years in healthcare sales/account management.
Extensive understanding of the U.S. healthcare industry and key individuals and care delivery approaches.
High level of clinical knowledge on schizophrenia, treatment‑resistant depression, and other therapeutic areas in the behavioral healthcare environment.
Proven success in delivering required sales results.
Critical‑thinking skills and ability to analyze complex quantitative and qualitative data.
Excellent social, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated expertise in handling complex accounts and building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Proven success in impacting business and partnerships in a competitive environment.
Ambitious with a strong intellectual curiosity.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight/weekend travel.
Must reside in the territory or be willing to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years of experience in the Neuroscience therapeutic area.
Deep understanding of the access landscape for pharmaceuticals and/or devices with sophisticated delivery systems, including buy‑and‑bill reimbursement.
Successful first‑line leadership experience.
Experience in pharmaceutical account management (IDNs, large independent hospitals, large multi‑million‑dollar standalone accounts, pharmacies of mental health).
A master’s degree in a related field or an MBA.
