Position Levenfeld Pearlstein (LP) is seeking a paralegal to support its Real Estate Practice Group. LP’s real estate group represents clients ranging from mid-sized companies to large national and global companies in the acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial, industrial, multi-family, manufactured housing and retail properties. The group has robust commercial leasing, joint venture and development practices. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with acquisitions, dispositions and financing in all practice areas, excellent communication and technical skills, and thrive in a team environment while still possessing independence, initiative and drive.

Reviewing contracts/purchase & sale agreements
Preparing closing checklists, calculating critical dates and maintaining both as the transaction progresses
Reviewing title, survey and zoning; preparing objection notices and response letters; experience with clearing title matters and knowledge of ALTA survey standards
Research and facilitating local requirements and tax clearance/bulk sales
Preparation of estoppels and SNDAs
Preparing and reviewing closing documents
Due diligence process including ordering, reviewing and summarizing searches
Reviewing leases and abstracts
Preparing and filing UCC Financing Statements
Preparing and reviewing closing documents
Preparing and facilitating all aspects of closings with client, title companies and lenders
Overseeing preparation of electronic closing binders
Effectively utilizing the firm’s docketing system to track matters
Communicating with clients and third parties throughout the course of a matter
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate
Minimum 5-7 years of relevant real estate transactional and finance experience (will consider less experience for otherwise qualified candidate)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong technical skills (Knowledge of Microsoft Office, iManage and Adobe is a plus)
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management skills and ability to adjust to changing project priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
Ability to delegate appropriate tasks
A demonstrated commitment to providing superior client service
Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed
Salary and benefits The annual salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000. LP believes this is the pay range it will pay for this position at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be contingent on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant and the requirements of the position. LP offers generous compensation and benefits packages, including medical, dental and vision benefits, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
