What we are looking for At SCS we are searching for an experienced AutoCAD Civil 3D Designer who is self‑motivated, team‑focused, and eager to advance their career through collaboration and company‑sponsored training.
The ideal candidate will possess strong drafting skills for horizontal and vertical construction, and be adept at generating plan and profile views, cross‑sections, grading and cut/fill balancing.
You will collaborate closely with engineers, prepare figures, and develop permit and construction documentation, working independently while supported by a team.
How you can make an impact
Develop engineering plan sets, including site layouts, mass grading plans, construction details, plans and profiles, cross‑sections, and earthwork volume calculations using AutoCAD Civil3D.
Develop survey point lists, alignments, and earthwork surfaces for field construction purposes.
Develop as‑built documentation drawings.
Check drawings for completeness and accuracy.
Develop 2D and 3D renderings when required.
Work with engineers or scientists on project work.
Assist with the development and maintenance of CAD standards.
Coordinate work with other drafters or CAD designers within the region.
Assist with the integration of CAD with other technology solutions such as GIS, drones, and AI.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of prior work experience in AutoCAD Civil3D and drafting for civil engineering.
Experience preparing engineering plan sets, including site layouts, mass grading plans, construction details, plans and profiles, cross‑sections, and earthwork volume calculations.
Pay Range USD $75,000.00 – USD $105,000.00 /Yr.
