Role Overview The Facilities Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of an entire golf club facility, ensuring it remains safe, efficient, and in line with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. The role requires leadership in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and groundskeeping systems, as well as strong guest service and operational coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Oversight: Maintain the physical building structure, mechanical systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical), and related equipment in compliance with energy efficiency and preventative maintenance standards.
Maintenance & Repairs: Conduct walk-throughs to assess safety and efficiency; verify completion of routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, outlets, back-of-house areas, and grounds; oversee repairs, replacements, and renovation projects.
Energy & Preventive Programs: Implement and manage energy management and preventive maintenance programs; train other departments on safe and efficient equipment and energy use.
Safety & Compliance: Train in fire prevention, environmental health and safety, and engineering systems; attend operational, safety, and quality improvement meetings.
Guest Experience: Ensure cleanliness and neatness of fitness and club areas; maintain positive guest relations.
Special Projects: Execute management‑delegated projects and stay updated on departmental and location developments.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Demonstrated customer service excellence, willingness to learn new engineering programs, and experience in hotel or facility maintenance management.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities; attention to detail; drive and motivation.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, groundskeeping, and energy efficiency.
Soft Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance manuals, and product labels; ability to speak effectively before groups.
