
SUMMER INTERN - MARKETING

Job Purpose
Support the Marketing Team in executing day‑to‑day marketing and communications activities that strengthen brand awareness and contribute to organizational growth. The Marketing and Communications Intern will work on initiatives for C2Q Health Solutions, CenterLight Health System, and all affiliated entities; assist with content creation; advertising, social media, and digital marketing support; media outreach; campaign coordination; event support; and collateral development and marketing material updates, while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with day‑to‑day marketing and communications tasks in support of team priorities and timelines.
Draft and format content for digital and print channels (e.g., flyers, internal communications, newsletters, media alerts, and press releases).
Support social media and digital marketing efforts by creating copy, formatting creative, scheduling content, and tracking performance metrics.
Assist with website updates, including reviewing pages for accuracy, broken links, and brand consistency.
Conduct market and audience research (e.g., competitor scans, community partner lists, editorial calendars) and summarize findings for the team.
Conduct interviews with participants, staff or community partners to develop content for press releases, blog posts, social media and other communications.
Support campaign/project coordination by maintaining trackers, organizing files, and helping ensure deliverables move through review/approval workflows.
Attend assigned events/programs to take photos and videos for marketing campaigns while ensuring that all appropriate releases are signed and filed.
Assist with reports and dashboards (e.g., monthly social media metrics, campaign summaries).
Follow applicable compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and New York State Department of Health guidelines).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Weekly Hours and Schedule 40 hours per week, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.
Location and Duration Allerton, Bronx. June 1st, 2026 – Mid August 2026.
Qualifications Education:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field; or equivalent combination of relevant coursework and experience.
Able to pass a typing test with at least 40 WPM.
Previous internship, volunteer, campus organization, or coursework experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related area preferred.
Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices; experience scheduling content is a plus.
Basic understanding of marketing metrics and reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Canva or similar design tools; Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop) and WordPress familiarity a plus.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate progress in a fast‑paced environment.
Positive attitude and outlook with the ability to multi‑task in a constantly changing environment.
Team‑oriented with the ability to gain cooperation through relationship building.
Highly organized and flexible to meet submission deadlines.
Physical Requirements
Standing – up to 6 hours a day.
Sitting/Stationary positions – up to 6‑8 hours a day for consecutive periods.
Lifting/Push/Pull – up to 50 pounds of equipment, baggage, supplies, and other items, using OSHA guidelines.
Bending/Squatting – able to safely bend or squat to perform essential functions.
Stairs/Steps/Walking/Climbing – ability to safely maneuver stairs and walk to access work areas.
Agility/Fine Motor Skills – ability to operate and activate equipment, tools to complete essential job functions (typing, use of supplies, etc.).
Sight/Visual Requirements – ability to read documentation, paperwork, signs, etc., and type/write accurately.
Audio Hearing and Motor Skills – ability to listen attentively, document information, and speak clearly.
Cognitive Ability – good decision‑making, reasoning, and analysis to satisfy essential functions.
