Job Description
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Associate is responsible for supporting and sustaining the CI operating system across the organization. This role assists to ensure process improvements are properly defined, documented, implemented, and maintained over time. Building a culture of continuous improvement by applying Lean tools, leading kaizen events, and supporting the coaching and development of team members. This position requires strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across departments and present data‑driven findings to diverse audiences. It is a position that actively contributes to building a company's culture of continuous improvement and driving positive changes at the operational level. Each CI Associate will have a primary focus area while being cross‑trained to support other CI functions, ensuring flexibility and continuity.

Responsibilities
Applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to drive measurable improvements in key performance indicators.
Update SOPs, standard work, and process documentation for assigned projects.
Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to collect and analyze data, identify process inefficiencies, and implement solutions.
Follow and uphold CI documentation standards, including version control and update logs.
Ensure documentation is accurate, current, and maintained within designated systems, including Workvivo (CI Hub), the Portal, and related platforms.
Maintain alignment between documented processes and actual workflows through coordination with stakeholders.
Coordinate with Training & Development to ensure process updates are reflected in training materials.
Track and follow up on action items from CI workshops and improvement initiatives.
Monitor and support reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to CI initiatives.
Utilize and contribute to CI tools, templates, and resources within the CI Hub.
Coordinate meetings, workshops, and communications across teams and departments as needed.
Support development of reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership and project teams.
Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
Other assignments or duties as needed.

CI Associates are responsible for leading and supporting CI efforts within their assigned areas while maintaining shared responsibility for CI systems, documentation, and standards across the team. Assignments may evolve over time to support cross‑training, workload balancing, and business needs.
Travel
May require infrequent travel (typically not overnight)
Required
Some experience in continuous improvement support.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document management tools.
High attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, construction management, or equivalent experience.
1–2 years of experience in support, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
Work Environment
Works in a professional office and shop environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
May be exposed to moderate/high noise levels when in work areas when visiting projects.
Physical Demands
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Be able to sit for long periods of time while working on a computer.
