
Membership Development Representative
Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union, College Station, TX, United States
Role
Responsible for retaining and expanding existing account relationships and acquiring new members. Develops activities and strategies to promote growth by attracting new members.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Increases visibility and obtains new members by promoting and educating about credit union products.
Attends events on behalf of the credit union to discover new network opportunities and remains active in community.
Assists with planning and participates in community, business development and member retention events.
Conducts regular phone calls and visits to promote credit union awareness within schools and community.
Compiles detailed and accurate reports related to business development activity.
Maintains working knowledge of regulatory compliance related to member services and financial services including USA Patriot Act, Red Flags, Truth in Savings, Privacy, etc.
Develops and maintains strong knowledge of credit union products and services.
Acts as a public speaking representative for events of all sizes (up to 200+).
Reviews Chamber of Commerce sites yearly and utilizes digital blast to members monthly or as allowed.
Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Minimum one year of marketing/business development experience preferred.
High school education or GED required; two‑year degree preferred.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze data for equitable resolutions.
Project management skills through completion.
Problem solving and critical thinking proficiency.
Ability to work irregular hours dictated by scheduled events.
On‑site work at designated location.
Motor vehicle operation for job related travel.
Presentation skills to groups of all sizes professionally.
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in communication and exemplary member service.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Bondable.
Ergonomic Considerations
Must sit and/or stand for extended periods (6‑7 hours per day).
Must view computer screen, use keyboard and mouse.
Job includes repetitive hand/wrist motions.
Operates office machinery.
Can lift up to 50 pounds.
