Position Overview The Commercial Lines Account Manager provides high‑quality service to new and existing clients while managing and growing a commercial lines book of business. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, managing policy renewals and servicing needs, and identifying opportunities to expand coverage solutions that support client risk management goals while contributing to agency growth.
Work Arrangement This is a full‑time hybrid position reporting to our office located in Savannah, GA.
Professional Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing responsive service.
Proactively communicate with clients to address inquiries, resolve concerns, and identify coverage opportunities.
Manage new and renewal accounts, evaluating risk exposures and placing appropriate coverage aligned with underwriting guidelines.
Process endorsements, update policy information, issue policies, and maintain accurate account documentation.
Review renewal and expiration reports and collaborate with internal team members to develop renewal strategies.
Identify cross‑selling and upselling opportunities such as flood, business interruption, umbrella, and other relevant coverages.
Serve as a liaison between clients, Producers, underwriters, and agency leadership to ensure clear communication and efficient service delivery.
Maintain strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, carrier guidelines, and underwriting practices.
Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications And Requirements
3–5 years of experience in sales, account management, customer service, or insurance servicing roles.
High School Diploma, GED, or Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Georgia Property & Casualty Insurance License.
Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, specifically commercial lines account management (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
Strong client relationship management and consultative communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and agency management systems.
High attention to detail and accuracy when managing policy documentation.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
