Associate Director & Counsel – Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines We have an exciting hybrid opportunity for an Associate Director & Counsel for Pratt & Whitney’s Commercial Engines.

This business includes both the GTF and the mature engine platforms, including engines for the V2500, PW4000, PW2000, GP7000, JT8D, and Pratt & Whitney Power Systems model engine programs.

What You Will Do This is a customer‑facing role providing transactional support across all aspects of the P&L, including negotiating complex commercial agreements with customers and airframers globally, providing program support, and advising on regulatory compliance and communications with customers, airframers, regulators, and program partners.

Travel to support business needs, including significant on‑site presence in East Hartford, Connecticut.

Qualifications You Must Have

Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) and 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including 5+ years at a law firm with experience in commercial transactions, M&A, or strong litigation experience resolving commercial disputes.

Good standing with a state bar association and in‑house counsel registration in a timely manner following hire.

U.S. Citizenship (required).

Strong leader and team player with excellent judgment and professional maturity.

Demonstrated ability to multi‑task, manage multiple deadlines simultaneously, and provide guidance and practical solutions to cross‑functional projects effectively and on time.

Ability to work with minimal daily supervision and balance numerous priorities within compressed timeframes.

Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast‑paced environment of rapidly changing demands.
