Brief Description
Business Development Associate is an entry‑level, hunter‑focused sales role for candidates relatively new to sales and the industry. This role is responsible for self‑sourcing leads, learning how to build a personal book of business, supporting senior sales leaders and developing relationships within the [geography] market. The position follows a structured training and development playbook designed to build industry knowledge, sales fundamentals, and confidence through a combination of formal training and field execution, culminating with an ever‑growing book of business to sell.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and support new sales opportunities
Join senior sales leaders on sales calls
Participate in coaching, ride‑alongs, and ongoing skill development
Support branch sales activities, including events, drop‑offs and some administrative work
Conduct face‑to‑face meetings, calls, emails, and local networking
Learn how to build relationships with property‑level and regional decision‑makers
Conduct market‑level research
Learn how to use an enterprise CRM
Maintain accurate activity and opportunity tracking in CRM
Follow a defined sales process and training playbook
Supervisory Responsibility This role has no direct reports.
Qualifications & Requirements Ideal Candidate Profile
New to sales and/or the restoration construction industry
Highly motivated, coachable, and resilient
Ability to learn by doing
Comfortable with outbound prospecting and relationship building
Highly organized
Prior customer‑facing experience a plus
Education
Bachelor's required; business and/or construction experience or degree preferred

Compensation The base salary for this position is $45K–$60K, depending on specific Branch location. Additionally, there is a variable, performance‑based annual bonus range of $10‑20K. The performance bonus is based on the Business Development Associate’s progress to learn the business, develop key skills and knowledge required to succeed in the role and advance within BluSky, and demonstrate success in generating and helping to close sales opportunities.
