Summary The Customer Sales Support position will play a key role in streamlining the sales process, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving revenue by resolving customer inquiries, supporting the front counter, and supporting sales representatives. The position serves as a vital link between the sales team and customers, by managing orders, maintaining records, and nurturing client relationships.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities (Include the following; however, other duties may apply.)

Learn and understand the company’s range of fastener products, applications, and industries served.

Shadow experienced sales representatives during customer interactions and site visits.

Support the preparation of quotes, sales orders, and product specifications.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, to encourage repeat business

Process transactions accurately and efficiently, while ensuring a positive shopping experience

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism, tact, and care

All other duties as assigned

This is a physically demanding job, that may consist of heavy lifting, in a non-climate-controlled environment, sales visits and front counter interface with customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred

3 – 4 years of previous sales or customer service experience (experience in the fastener or industrial supply industry a plus)

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of customers

Ability to lift to 40lbs. and stand for extended periods of time

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Team-oriented, with good communication skills

Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic understanding of sales principles and practices

Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment

Self-starter, with a great attitude and willingness to learn

Language Skills The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

Reasoning Ability Strong reasoning, customer service, active listening, and good interpersonal skills are required.
