The Central Florida Diaper Bank is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable bilingual Community Outreach Assistant to join our team in a contracted role! This is a perfect opportunity for someone who may be retired—or simply looking to stay engaged while working just a few hours each month.

You’ll play a meaningful role in supporting families at our monthly community distribution events, running through December 2026, while making a real impact in your community.

The Outreach Assistant provides in-person support to assist participants with registration and distribution procedures, helping ensure families clearly understand services and event processes while maintaining a welcoming and professional presence.

Flexible to work Saturday events as needed.

Applicants must be flexible and available during these scheduled times.

Work Schedule

First week of each month (Monday–Thursday), 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Second Tuesday of each month, 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Responsibilities

Must be bilingual, fluent, and articulate in English and Spanish or English and Creole, with the ability to provide accurate and timely interpretation at community events.

Maintain all original meaning, context, and style as much as possible during the interpretation process.

Assist participants with completing forms and understanding program guidelines.

Clearly communicate eligibility requirements and distribution instructions.

Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality while interpreting at events.

Support staff with participant communication during events.

Maintain professionalism and a welcoming demeanor at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma (required). Associate degree (preferred).

Bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish or English and Creole.

Experience using a CRM system to research and review participant data.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and shift priorities as needed.

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Reliable transportation.

Professional demeanor and appearance.

Outgoing, dependable, and comfortable working with diverse families.

References required.

Background check required (applicant responsible for associated fee).
