Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Harrisonburg, VA. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the customer journey. Day-to-day tasks include providing support via phone and email, handling orders, and collaborating with internal teams to address customer needs and maintain customer satisfaction. Representatives will also assist in troubleshooting customer issues and ensuring timely resolutions.
Listen, analyze and calculate the customer’s unique order requirements.
Receive and process orders using the DMSI Agility computer system.
Provide product information and quotes to customers in a timely fashion over the telephone, online, in person.
Maintain office records and generate reports (automated and manual).
Perform other duties as determined by the Director of IT and Customer Experience.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Customer Service, Customer Support, and Customer Satisfaction
Understanding of Customer Experience and a commitment to delivering positive interactions
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel
Proficient in English—strong reading, writing, and verbal communication
Proficient in Math—including measurements (fractions)
High level of accuracy, efficiency and accountability; attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; pleasant phone presence
Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in fast paced environment: answer phone, speak with customer, enter orders, research product
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the building materials or retail sectors
