Job Summary
U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management – Real Property Program Management Office.
This term appointment (up to 4 years) at GS‑14 starts at $125,776 and may increase to $163,514 (Step 1‑Step 10).
The role supports construction and real‑estate functions, coordinating appraisal activities and providing valuation analysis for key real‑estate decisions.
Responsibilities
Provide real‑property valuation analysis for potential condemnations, lawsuits, and acquisition decisions.
Offer guidance on appraisal methodology to ensure compliance with USPAP and other federal standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including attorneys, engineers, and real‑estate specialists, to integrate appraisals into overall real‑estate management.
Order, review, and critically assess staff and fee‑based appraisals, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Act as a technical expert, reviewing and developing appraisals, and providing insights that guide management decisions on critical real‑estate matters.
Qualifications
U.S. citizen.
Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.
Current U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years.
Proficiency in English and completion of a background investigation.
Salary GS‑14, Step 1 $125,776 – Step 10 $163,514.
