About Our Client Our client is a well‑established electrical contracting firm with decades of experience serving commercial, industrial, and mission‑critical markets across Texas and beyond. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and safety, they deliver complex projects for a diverse range of owners and general contractors. The company operates out of multiple Texas locations and is recognized as one of the region's premier specialty contractors — driven by a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Job Description The Contract Specialist plays a critical role in protecting the company's business interests by reviewing, negotiating, and administering complex construction contracts, including General Contractor/Owner agreements, Master Service Agreements, and subcontracts. Day‑to‑day, you will identify risk exposures, propose alternative language, and work alongside General Counsel and the Director of Risk Management to establish standardized positions on controversial contract provisions.

This role supports one or more internal divisions and serves as a key cross‑functional partner to project managers, estimators, finance, safety, and HR teams. You will lead contract tracking, draft legal correspondence, and ensure all pre‑ and post‑award deliverables are executed accurately and on time. Within predetermined parameters, you will have authority to clear certain low‑risk variances without further legal review — a meaningful level of trust that reflects the importance of this position.

This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity. The right candidate will step in to support the team immediately, with strong potential to convert to a full‑time role at the six‑month mark. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, have a sharp eye for detail, and bring genuine expertise in contract law and risk management, we want to hear from you.
