Position Type: Full time Pay Type: Competitive Salary
Woodville Community Church, a family of around 136 individuals, is prayerfully seeking a full‑time Senior Pastor who will serve, shepherd and teach.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver relevant expositional Holy Spirit‑led sermons on a weekly basis
Officiate ordinances of Baptism and Lord’s Supper
Serve alongside the Elders for the spiritual benefit of the church
Model and encourage evangelistic outreach to the community
Lead weekly Wednesday night prayer meeting
Officiate weddings and funerals
Provide pastoral care, biblical counseling, and congregational visits
Maintain a regular office schedule for study and administration
Conduct other duties as assigned by an Elder
Qualifications
A mature and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ
A clear testimony of faith and passionate devotion to Christ and His church
Exemplify the biblical leadership qualities of an elder/overseer as found in 1 Timothy 3:1‑7, Titus 1:5‑9, and 1 Peter 5:1‑5
Adhere to biblical standards of morality and ethics and demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit
Agree with the doctrinal statement of Woodville Community Church
Ministerial training (M Div), ordination, 3‑5 years of pastoral and preaching experience are preferred
Demonstrate sound understanding of biblical doctrine and practice
Be competent in administrative, managerial, and technological skills
Equip the members for ministry work and use their gifts
