Salary:
$100,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually
Remote - Must be in San Diego area
We are seeking an experienced
Sales Manager
with experience in
Food Manufacturing
to drive revenue growth and expand customer relationships within an assigned geographic territory. This is a hands‑on, field‑based role focused exclusively on
foodservice operators , combining new business development with ongoing account management. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, self‑directed, and thrives in a relationship‑driven sales environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow sales within an assigned foodservice territory by developing new accounts and expanding existing relationships
Conduct regular in‑person and virtual sales calls with foodservice operators, including cold calls and follow‑up meetings
Build strong relationships with purchasing and decision‑making contacts; serve as the primary customer liaison
Present products, provide samples and documentation, and respond to customer requests and inquiriesResolve customer issues related to orders, deliveries, and service by coordinating with internal teams
Contribute to sales forecasting, budgeting, territory planning, and strategic initiatives
Represent the organization at trade shows, customer events, and industry functions as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience
Proven experience in foodservice sales or a related industry preferred
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region, with occasional travel outside the territory
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, email platforms)
Bilingual skills and experience with Mexican or Hispanic food products are a plus
