
Crane Account Manager

Summary
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team at Bohl Crane Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of overhead lifting equipment, including bridge cranes, hoists, runway systems, lifting devices and related automation solutions. This role is focused on identifying new equipment opportunities and delivering customized material handling solutions to industrial clients. Success requires a blend of technical expertise, consultative selling, and project coordination. Responsibilities
Prospect, qualify, and secure new sales opportunities for overhead cranes and lifting systems. Lead customer presentations and negotiations through to contract close. Build long-term relationships with manufacturing, industrial, and construction clients. Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new crane technologies (e.g., automation, wireless controls). Utilize CRM and quoting tools to manage pipeline, track activities, and forecast sales. Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above. Requirements
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or business preferred. 3+ years of capital equipment sales experience, ideally in overhead cranes, hoists, or related material handling systems. Proven track record of success in a consultative, technical sales environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read technical drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks familiarity a plus). Proficient in using Microsoft products and CPQ (configure, price quote) type programs. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with C-level and plant-level stakeholders. Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple long-lead project sales cycles simultaneously. Combination of office, remote, and in-field work. Frequent travel to manufacturing plants, and industrial facilities in assigned territory. May involve site walks in environments with noise, heights, or heavy equipment.
