
Director, Strategic Initiatives

We are seeking an experienced Director, Strategic Initiatives to lead and execute key business strategies within Centene’s managed care operations.
Position Purpose The Director, Strategic Initiatives will serve as a critical resource in supporting, managing, and driving strategic projects and initiatives for the area. The position will support senior management in executing business strategies.
Responsibilities
Directs the strategic planning process and establishes key processes.
Provides leadership, direction, and innovative vision to improve network performance across markets.
Monitors and manages key deliverables of the strategic plan.
Builds strong cross‑functional relationships with internal departments to implement provider network strategies.
Provides project management for implementation of key initiatives and driving critical projects.
Develops and communicates organizational objectives; inspires and motivates team members to achieve results.
Interacts closely with network leaders to carry out key projects and works directly with other senior leaders to drive successful completion of tactical and strategic initiatives.
Consults with and influences senior management at various levels in and across a wide variety of functions.
Advises and makes recommendations to business leaders on key strategic and tactical decisions.
Provides support and insight for financial, quality, and operational reporting and analysis.
Ability to lead, change, and execute on strategic objectives through oversight and management of key stakeholders and owners.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred:
Graduate degree.
Candidate Experience:
7+ years developing and implementing new business strategies; 5+ years working in a managed‑care environment; strong financial and analytical background.
Compensation Pay Range: $148,000.00 – $274,200.00 per year.
