Job Description The Enterprise Applications Architect is responsible for designing and managing the architecture of the organization’s IT systems, focusing on SaaS platforms and AI enablement. The role aligns IT strategy with business goals, establishes architectural frameworks, and ensures technology solutions are scalable, secure, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
Define and maintain the architecture for all major SaaS and custom enterprise applications.
Ensure alignment with business goals and future‑proof the application portfolio.
Implement robust identity, access, and data governance across integrated systems.
Lead the design of scalable, secure, and efficient integrations across platforms (e.g., CRM, ERP, HRIS).
Enable the enterprise to be AI‑ready by championing modern data, integration, and automation architecture foundations that power GenAI, analytics, and decision intelligence.
Partner with data and AI teams to embed intelligent automation and insights into business workflows.
Assess and reduce the number of enterprise applications through consolidation, integration, and custom development.
Identify opportunities to replace redundant tools with unified platforms or custom‑built solutions.
Define architecture standards and reusable frameworks for building secure, scalable custom solutions.
Collaborate with internal development teams and citizen developers to accelerate delivery.
Ensure all enterprise applications and integrations adhere to security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Establish architectural governance, design patterns, and documentation standards.
Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with deep expertise in SaaS platforms.
Proficiency with enterprise platforms including Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Snowflake, and Microsoft 365.
Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application in enterprise systems.
Experience with low‑code
o‑code platforms and citizen development enablement.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth, and integration frameworks.
Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) is a plus.
Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements (GDPR, SOC 2).
Proven experience in application rationalization and custom application development.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Compensation $177,000 – $295,000 base salary range. Additional incentive components may include bonus, commission, and equity plans.
