This role requires a senior-level designer with demonstrated leadership capabilities and extensive project experience. The Senior Designer will be responsible for leading design development, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional design solutions across all project phases. Lead conceptual design development from programming through schematic design phases Develop and refine design concepts that align with client goals and project requirements Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and clients throughout the design process Mentor and provide design guidance to junior designers and project staff Participate in client presentations and design reviews Ensure design quality and consistency across all project deliverables Collaborate with Job Captains and Project Managers during design development and construction document phases Research and analyze design precedents, materials, and building systems Support business development efforts through design excellence and client relationship building Maintain awareness of current design trends, sustainable practices, and emerging technologies Skills & Requirements

Strong design sensibility with exceptional conceptual and visualization skills Experience in California educational facility design required Excellent communication and presentation abilities Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor junior staff Proficiency in design software, including SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and visualization tools Experience with Revit Architecture preferred Strong understanding of architectural design principles and building systems Preference for experience in educational projects and familiarity with regulatory requirements Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Self-motivated with strong organizational skills Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program is required. Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in architectural design with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.
