
Senior Sales Engineer - Project Construction & Residential

Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking a Senior Sales Engineer – Project Construction & Residential. This is a hybrid position and candidates must reside within 50 mi of San Antonio, TX or Corpus Christi, TX to be considered.
Position Overview The primary function of this role is to sell assigned product lines to targeted customers in targeted market areas, achieving the assigned sales goal while optimizing sales volume, product mix and profit margin. The Senior Sales Engineer will coordinate sales for the assigned customer and distributor base, manage all aspects of the customer relationship and provide sales and technical assistance to distributors, customers, end users and specifiers.
In This Function You Will
Provide accurate and timely planning, specification interpretation, quotation and technical support
Communicate with customers, warehouse and plants to facilitate problem resolutions
Collect, analyze and utilize market intelligence regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences and buying habits
Review and interpret customer needs on plans and specifications
Provide facility‑timely solutions to customer issues by utilizing available resources or creating procedures for resolution
Be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities while communicating such information to product divisions
Plan promotional events and presentations with distributor personnel to promote Eaton’s position, while developing a proven record of achieving assigned sales goals
Prepare and present bids and quotations to customers using company price and delivery guidelines while using sound business judgment
Required (Basic) Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Minimum three (3) years of electrical industry experience
Valid driver’s licence
No relocation is offered for this position; all candidates must currently reside within 50 mi of San Antonio, TX or Corpus Christi, TX (Active‑Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
Ability to respond to a variety of circumstances while continuing to demonstrate superior selling skills for important customer services and applications
Electrical product knowledge
Ability to provide technical solutions built around customer needs
Skilled in time management
Negotiating skills while understanding and using techniques needed to close orders
Experience preparing sales proposals that meet customer expectations
Robust presentation and training skills
Experience utilizing value‑added selling techniques
Strong work ethic, competitiveness, willingness to learn and adept at building relationships
Experience working with Bidmanager and Vista
Ability to travel up to 25 %
Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this full‑time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. The total compensation range is $107,250 – $157,300.
