Regional Sales Manager The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for managing a team of sales representatives within the Bipolar Sales Team, ensuring the successful execution of regional sales strategies and alignment with national objectives. Reporting to the National Business Director (NBD), the RSM plays a critical role in driving sales performance, providing leadership to the sales team, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration. This position focuses on achieving regional sales goals, coaching and developing sales representatives, and driving the success of the bipolar disorder product portfolio.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $160,000 - $165,000. The salary range displayed may vary based on market data, applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience, certain degrees, certifications, and other relevant factors.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Hire, lead, coach, and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve regional sales goals and business objectives.

Develop and implement regional strategies that align with national sales objectives and product launch plans.

Conduct regular team meetings, ride‐alongs, and one‑on‑one coaching sessions to monitor performance and provide feedback.

Identify opportunities for individual and team development, fostering a high‑performing and collaborative team environment.

Oversee the execution of sales strategies at the regional level to drive product adoption and achieve revenue targets.

Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze trends, and take corrective actions to ensure goals are met or exceeded.

Collaborate with sales representatives to develop and execute territory business plans tailored to specific customer needs and market dynamics.

Ensure the team delivers impactful, compliant product presentations and consistently identifies opportunities for growth.

Build and maintain relationships with key healthcare providers, institutions, and decision‑makers within the region to drive product adoption.

Support sales representatives in engaging with healthcare professionals, ensuring customer needs are met and aligned with business objectives.

Partner with the Key Account Manager (KAM) team to align sales efforts and support strategic initiatives within key accounts.

Utilize CRM tools and reporting platforms to monitor team performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure data accuracy.

Provide regular reports to the National Business Director (NBD) on regional performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Ensure all sales team activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory guidelines, corporate policies, and ethical standards.

Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the sales team.

Lead regional execution of product launch strategies developed by the National Business Director and cross‑functional teams.

Ensure the sales team is fully trained and equipped to effectively communicate product benefits, therapeutic advantages, and clinical data.

Monitor launch performance within the region and adjust strategies as needed to address market dynamics.

Key Working Relationships

Reports to National Business Director (NBD).

Directly manages sales representatives within the assigned region.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role managing/developing a sales team.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a competitive market.

Launch experience is a plus.

Bipolar disorder, mental health, CNS, or neuroscience experience preferred.

Demonstrated success in hiring, coaching, and developing sales representatives to achieve high performance.

Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high‑performing teams.

Strategic planning capabilities, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in CRM tools, data reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Travel weekly, including in the field with sales representatives and attending national/regional meetings as needed.

Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required.

Successfully pass all Amplity and client‑required training.
