Marketing Manager – Cattle Animal Nutrition Location: Land O’Lakes Corporate Headquarters in Arden Hills, MN. This position may be remote and located anywhere in the USA.

Job Scope

Responsible for developing and executing the Annual and Long-Range Business Plans; including Objectives, Goals, Strategies, Action Plans, Innovation Pipeline, and Measurement (Key Performance Indicators).

Sets and leads marketing strategy; Product, Price, Placement & Promotion decisions, ensuring fit with company capabilities, competitive environment, and consumer/customer needs.

Has P&L responsibility and is accountable for activities including product improvements, SKU rationalization, market research (in conjunction with Corporate Insights team), innovation pipeline.

Develops channel strategies based on consumer/customer needs to drive go‑to‑market strategies.

Manages marketing and trade budget, anticipating business performance trends and making adjustments to achieve plan.

Develops tools, programs, trade and pricing strategies and promotions to support product initiatives.

Leads cross‑functional teams (Sales, Central Marketing, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, Income Optimization) to identify, prioritize and execute initiatives to meet business performance targets (volume, profit).

Leverages sales, customer and channel insights to develop product selling stories.

Evaluates new business opportunities for strategic fit, operational feasibility, profit, volume, etc.

Manages 1–2 direct reports (Associate Marketing Managers); provides training, feedback, coaching, mentoring and career path guidance.

Required Competencies and Skills

5+ years marketing experience, including P&L ownership.

MBA preferred; 4‑year degree required.

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills.

Experience in developing and managing business cases.

Strategic thinking, creativity, effective analytical skills, and problem‑solving abilities.

Ability to lead cross‑functional teams to deliver results positively.

Self‑motivated and able to own projects and execute with focus and accountability.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Competencies and Skills

5+ years of experience in the cattle industry.

Previous B2B marketing experience.

Experience managing direct reports.

Familiarity with Stage Gate/New Product Development process.

Experience with brand and product marketing and business management, including annual/long‑range planning, pricing/profit analysis, and execution of national/regional consumer and trade programs.

Cross‑functional collaborator with experience in transformational change.

Travel Required up to 25%.

Education Masters or related degree with business experience strongly preferred.

Salary Range $123,920 - $185,880.
