Your Role and Responsibilities As a Brand Technical Specialist for zModernization, you will act as a technical consultant to IBM clients and sellers by architecting solutions and delivering Proofs of Technology for zModernization products.
Architect Solutions: Design and deliver Proofs of Technology for zModernization products, including watsonx Code Assistant for Z, zSystems Security, zData & AI, and Z Open Automation Utilities, to meet client business needs.
Deliver Technical Consultation: Provide technical consultation to IBM clients and sellers on zModernization products, including solution architecture and implementation.
Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.
Develop Solution Delivery: Develop and deliver solutions using zModernization products, including Z Service Management Suite, Z Digital Integration Hub, and Zowe.
Lead Proof of Technology: Lead the delivery of Proofs of Technology for zModernization products, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise Technical Consultation Expertise: Experience with providing technical consultation to clients and sellers on complex software solutions, including solution architecture and implementation.
zModernization Product Knowledge: Experience with designing and delivering Proofs of Technology for zModernization products, such as watsonx Code Assistant for Z, zSystems Security, zData & AI, and Z Open Automation Utilities.
Solution Architecture Skills: Experience in designing solutions that meet client business needs, including integrating multiple zModernization products.
Technical Leadership Abilities: Experience with leading the delivery of Proofs of Technology for zModernization products, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction.
zSoftware Product Familiarity: Experience with multiple zSoftware and zData & AI solutions.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Broad zModernization Portfolio Familiarity: Familiarity with a wide range of zModernization products, including Z Table Accelerator, Automatic Binary Optimizer for z/OS, and Z Service Automation Suite, can be an asset.
Cross-Platform Integration Understanding: Knowledge of integrating zModernization products with other platforms, such as cloud and Linux on Z, can be advantageous in this position.
Additional zSoftware Product Knowledge: Experience with other zSoftware products, including webMethods ApplinX, Red Hat Ansible Certified Content for IBM Z, and watsonx Assistant for Z, is beneficial for this role.
Preferred Plus Experience in z/OS environments with strong VSAM usage—especially supporting CICS and batch COBOL applications—and enabling VSAM-resident data to be safely exposed for analytics through near-real-time, batch/replication, and API/virtualized access patterns with appropriate governance, security, and performance considerations.
Projected Salary Range Projected Minimum Salary per year: $137,000.00
Projected Maximum Salary per year: $237,000.00
