This is a field-based role focusing on achieving sales goals within primary care, urology, and the women’s health therapeutic areas in an assigned geographic territory. Position

Multi-Specialty Portfolio Specialist/Associate Portfolio Specialist (posted at multiple levels). Applicants will be considered for the titles listed in this posting. The title and salary will be determined by experience and qualifications. Candidates who do not meet all qualifications may be considered for an Associate level role. Responsibilities

Deliver results by meeting or exceeding sales objectives and implementing ethical, compliant sales strategies. Demonstrate resilience and the ability to overcome obstacles to achieve objectives. Consistently demonstrate SMPA values in daily work. Develop and execute an effective business plan aligned to sales strategy to achieve sales results. Prioritize and engage appropriate customers at optimal frequency to influence prescribing behaviors. Conduct effective pre-call planning prior to healthcare professional engagement. Move customers along the adoption continuum to drive market share growth. Engage in two-way dialogue to identify customer needs and practice active listening. Utilize patient type selling with approved messaging and resources. Apply a growth mindset, focus on opportunities, and maintain a readiness for success. Key Core Competencies

Proven track record of exceeding sales goals in the assigned geography or relevant experience. Strong selling skills across clinical expertise, selling, and understanding of the local ecosystem. Ability to present scientific/technical details and marketing materials effectively. Knowledge of payer landscape (commercial, Medicaid, Medicare) or relevant experience. Ability to analyze complex data to develop strategic, actionable business plans and deliver sales results. Excellent communication and organizational skills; proficient with technology platforms. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business or Life Sciences. Associate Portfolio Specialist typically 0–3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or relevant experience; strong aptitude to learn product and disease state knowledge. Portfolio Specialist typically 3–5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience or relevant experience; strong aptitude to learn product and disease state knowledge. Travel within territory is required, possibly including car and overnight air travel depending on territory. Some national travel to corporate headquarters, training, product theaters, and sales meetings is required periodically. Work hours may include meetings outside normal hours. Base salary ranges: Associate role $84,000 to $105,000; Portfolio Specialist role $108,000 to $135,000. Base salary is part of a total rewards package with merit-based increases and benefits including 401(k), health insurances, and paid time off.
