Senior Product Specialist – Televisions Summary To greet the general public, offer proper information about the products and services offered by BrandsMart USA and BrandsMart Service Company; sell and explain the merchandise BrandsMart USA offers to the satisfaction of the customer; sell and explain extended service plans to the satisfaction of the customer; continuously improve knowledge of the products sold; improve knowledge of the competition; maintain store displays; assist in physical inventories and complete shopping reports.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise the Product Specialist Team in assigned department.

Ability to swipe and override prices.

Assist Product Specialists in closing sales.

Greet customers.

Sell merchandise according to current pricing policy.

Sell and accurately explain service contracts; add contract to sales invoice accurately.

Maintain high level of product knowledge in assigned department; attend training sessions.

Be aware of competition, policies, price levels, assortment; complete shopping reports as required.

Take physical inventories as required.

Clean and maintain selling area or counter area with basic cleaning supplies.

Assist with arranging and straightening selling display.

Required Education, Experience, and Certifications

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school or college graduate, or other combination that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Minimum of three years prior experience in the retail industry, preferably in a customer contact area. Current BrandsMart USA employees will be given preference.

If a facility is in an area where a language other than English is necessary, fluency in that language will be considered a required skill.

Required Skills and Competencies

Ability to read English (or other required language) to read invoices, repair orders, faxed requests and similar written materials.

Basic English language writing skills for completion of orders, requests and other necessary correspondence.

Fluency in spoken English (or other required language) for communication with customers.

Basic math skills, including multiplication, addition, subtraction, and division.

Occasionally the ability to lift or move goods weighing up to twenty-five pounds.

Manual dexterity in at least one hand to operate all computer terminals and other electronic equipment, complete paperwork.

Minimum typing speed of at least 20 words per minute with no errors.
