Position Summary Persivia is seeking a Product Owner to join our Product Management team. In this role, you will own the product backlog and serve as the voice of the customer within Agile development teams, defining what gets built, in what order, and why. You will work at the intersection of clinical end-users, business stakeholders, and engineering to ensure Persivia’s population health management, quality management, and value-based care solutions deliver measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate brings a strong product mindset, healthcare domain expertise, and a track record of shipping products in iterative, fast-paced environments.
Daily Responsibilities Backlog Ownership & Prioritization
Own, maintain, and continuously refine the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the strategic vision, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
Write clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, leveraging input from clinicians, customer success, and market research.
Prioritize features, enhancements, and technical debt using frameworks such as RICE, MoSCoW, or weighted scoring aligned to business objectives.
Lead sprint planning sessions, defining sprint goals and negotiating scope with engineering teams to maximize delivery velocity.
Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, removing impediments and clarifying requirements in real time.
Accept or reject completed work based on acceptance criteria, ensuring each increment meets quality standards before release.
Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
Serve as the primary liaison between product management, engineering, clinical advisory boards, and customer-facing teams.
Conduct customer discovery sessions, usability interviews, and feedback reviews to validate product direction and uncover unmet needs.
Translate complex healthcare regulations (CMS quality programs, HEDIS measures, MIPS/APMs) into product requirements that drive compliance and clinical value.
Collaborate with product leadership to define and communicate the product roadmap, aligning feature delivery with quarterly and annual strategic goals.
Monitor product KPIs including adoption rates, clinical outcome improvements, user satisfaction scores, and time-to-value metrics.
Conduct competitive analysis and market research to inform feature prioritization and identify opportunities for differentiation.
Domain Product Ownership
Backlog management and grooming; user story mapping and story splitting; acceptance criteria definition; sprint planning and velocity forecasting; release planning and go
o‑go decision making; stakeholder negotiation and expectation management.
Product Management
Product roadmap development and communication; prioritization frameworks (RICE, MoSCoW, Kano); competitive and market analysis; product‑led growth strategies; OKR and KPI definition; JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools.
Healthcare IT
HL7 FHIR, HL7 v2, and CDA/C-CDA interoperability standards; EHR/EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, athenahealth); HIPAA compliance and data governance; CMS quality programs (MIPS, APMs, ACOs); HEDIS measures and clinical quality reporting; claims, eligibility, and clinical data models; ICD-10, CPT, SNOMED CT coding systems.
Cross-Functional Skills
Agile and Scrum methodologies (CSM, CSPO certifications valued); data-informed decision making with SQL, Tableau, or Power BI; UX collaboration and wireframing review; strong written and verbal communication with clinical and executive audiences; familiarity with population health management and risk stratification concepts.
Qualifications & Certification Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or equivalent role within a healthcare technology or SaaS organization.
Hands‑on experience leading Agile/Scrum teams with proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and backlog management best practices.
Strong understanding of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR), regulatory frameworks (HIPAA), and payer/provider workflows.
Proven ability to translate business and clinical needs into technical requirements that drive measurable outcomes.
Preferred Experience
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
Experience with population health platforms, clinical decision support, risk adjustment, or quality measure reporting solutions.
Familiarity with value‑based care models, ACOs, managed care, or health plan operations.
SQL proficiency and experience working with healthcare data warehouses or analytics platforms.
MBA, MHA, or Master’s in Health Informatics is a plus.
