Our client is looking for a freelance
Designer
to support their
Visual Merchandising team , helping bring retail campaigns to life across in-store signage, fixtures, and physical brand environments.
This role is ideal for a designer who understands how creative translates into real-world retail spaces and can confidently move work from concept through final production files.
Hybrid schedule: onsite in Boston Tues–Thurs.
MUST HAVES (DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE)
5+ years of design experience focused on
retail, visual merchandising, environmental, or in-store creative
Strong
print production experience , including dielines, mechanicals, specs, and preparing vendor-ready files
Advanced proficiency in
Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
Experience adapting creative across
multiple sizes, formats, and store layouts
Ability to work
onsite in Boston Tues–Thurs
What You’ll Do
Design in-store signage, graphics, and promotional materials supporting seasonal campaigns and retail initiatives
Adapt creative across multiple store formats, fixture sizes, and regional rollouts
Translate 2D layouts into real-world retail applications across fixtures, displays, and environments
Prepare print-ready production files including dielines, specs, and mechanicals
Partner with Visual Merchandising, Production, and Marketing teams to execute cohesive in-store experiences
Review proofs to ensure accuracy across dimensions, materials, and vendor requirements
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight retail timelines
Apply strong typography, layout, and composition skills within established brand systems
Nice to Have
Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, or other 3D tools
Experience working in Asana or similar project management tools
Background in retail, apparel, footwear, or lifestyle brands
Logistics
Hybrid role based in Boston (onsite Tues–Thurs)
