The ASU Outreach Hub is a nonprofit organization that supports the outreach and transactional needs of the ASU public enterprise through marketing and engagement solutions that advance the university and strengthen its brand. It specializes in paid media outreach, data-driven insights and outreach to alumni, donors and targeted corporations.
The Assistant Director of Client Solutions leads the strategic planning and delivery for a portfolio of client accounts and assists the Director in leading a team of client solutions professionals. This role assesses client needs, provides strategic marketing recommendations, develops plans and creative briefs, presents solutions and results, and manages the execution of outreach and engagement campaigns, ensuring all deliverables meet high standards against goals.
What You’ll Do
Assist the Director, Client Solutions in leading the Client Solutions team; provide strategic marketing insights, best-in-class marketing solutions and strong client management practices; and serve as liaison to other Outreach Hub leadership and units within Enterprise Partners and at ASU.
Act as a marketing solutions expert, responsible for the vision, strategy, and results of complex, high-stakes, high-level projects and campaigns on behalf of executive-level clients and partners.
Meet with client partners to understand their marketing needs and assess fit within the Outreach Hub portfolio.
Oversee and coordinate, with the client solutions managers, the annual updating of client marketing playbooks, including the completion of new playbooks.
Select, hire, train, evaluate, and promote professional development opportunities for student workers.
Assist in the creation and oversight of annual planning and implementation of goals, objectives, strategies, and initiatives related to the Client Solutions portfolio.
Build and manage relationships with clients and partners; develop trusted advisor relationships with key clients, product owners and customer stakeholders.
Actively lead and manage client calls and meetings by taking a central role in discussions.
Educate clients on marketing solutions and best practices, make recommendations, and deliver value-added solutions.
Develop and manage marketing strategies, plans, projects, tactics, and core messages; make recommendations, identify opportunities, and leverage resources to achieve outcomes while amplifying multiple brands at scale.
Bridge communications between client needs and internal team, working closely with marketing project management, creative and digital marketing teams to manage and coordinate the direction, design and production of multi-channel campaign collateral, web and digital assets, social media, and other marketing channels to execute strategic goals, keeping projects on time and on budget.
Gather, share, and act on feedback from the client throughout projects, while delivering results.
Collaborate, consult, and actively participate in new idea generation, brainstorming concepts, and make recommendations for creative ways to accomplish goals.
Problem solve and bring the right team members to the table, inside and beyond the department, to create solutions that adhere to brand, legal, and donor privacy standards, while keeping projects on time and on budget.
What You'll Need

Proven project management experience: managing multiple projects simultaneously; working effectively and efficiently with individuals and teams within a diverse environment; and strong experience using project management tools (including Wrike).
Demonstrated knowledge of strategic communication and marketing principles.
Knowledge and experience navigating multi-channel marketing campaigns; including knowledge of the principles and practices of visual design, printing, content and editorial, video production, digital and social mediums, UX and social media.
Strong working knowledge of standard marketing tools (including content management systems, Google Analytics/SEO, social media, Salesforce, and Adobe Creative Suite).
Must possess a customer-service philosophy and be able to handle problem solving and issue resolution.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
Proven creative and critical thinking skills, goal setting and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Enterprise Partners, its subsidiaries and University business and confidential prospect information.
Excellent listening skills with a strong ability to read people and adapt working style, communication, and responses accordingly.
Skilled in exercising a high degree of judgment and diplomacy.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or closely related field and seven (7) years of experience in a public relations/marketing role.
Experience in building status reports and reporting on campaign outcomes to clients.
Preferred Education And Experience
Experience working on complex, high-level projects for executive-level clients in an advertising agency environment or in-house marketing team.
Experience working in higher education.
Experience working on marketing or fundraising campaigns for collegiate athletics programs.
