A Long Island based consumer goods brand is seeking an experienced Ecomm/Digital Commerce leader to develop and execute their Ecommerce/Digital Marketing strategy across site.com, retail.com, marketplaces, and social platforms. This is a fun brand that is vertically integrated and has an exciting growth opportunity!
The VP will lead with an ROI and data-driven insights mindset. This position demands a results-oriented approach, with a proven track record of successfully developing and scaling digital commerce programs across all channels. This role reports to the CEO and will have the ability to make changes to the org structure and agency relationships as needed.
They will own the digital storefront and drive profitable growth across DTC and third-party marketplaces. This leader will manage the full P&L, orchestrate complex performance marketing strategies, and bridge the gap between high-level brand vision and granular operational execution.
Core Responsibilities DTC & Channel Strategy
Strategic Growth:
Balance and prioritize DTC alongside key retailers like Amazon, Sephora, and Ulta
Resource Allocation:
Define channel operation strategies and optimize budget allocation to maximize market share
Performance Marketing & Consumer Insights
ROAS Management:
Maintain high-performance ROAS targets through proactive strategy adjustments and attribution tool mastery
Social Commerce:
Design innovative funnels for TikTok Shop and other emerging platforms
Targeting:
Lead segmentation strategies specifically for Gen Z and interest-based consumer cohorts
P&L Management & Operations
Financial Ownership:
Manage full e-commerce P&L, tracking GMV, Revenue, YoY growth, and channel mix
Unit Economics:
Optimize Amazon fee structures and margin strategies; monitor CAC, LTV, and LTV:CAC ratios
Efficiency Metrics:
Track operational profitability via Contribution Margin, Inventory Turnover, and OOS rates
Conversion Optimization:
Execute rigorous A/B testing and optimize PDPs to improve conversion rates
AOV Growth:
Develop bundling and merchandising strategies to drive higher Average Order Value
Retail Media & Strategic Partnerships
Joint Ventures:
Execute collaborative campaigns with retailer partnership teams to amplify brand reach
Leadership & Logistics
Cross-functional Synergy:
Partner with Creative, Sales, SCM, and Finance to overcome resource constraints and align goals
Supply Chain Integration:
Select and manage 3PL partners to enhance delivery experiences and reduce return rates
Qualifications
Proven Leadership:
7+ years of e-commerce experience with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
P&L Mastery:
Demonstrated experience owning a multi-million dollar e-commerce P&L
Technical Fluency:
Deep understanding of attribution tools, WMS/ERP integrations, and e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon Seller Central)
Analytical Rigor:
Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable growth strategies
Base salary could be $180-250k annually (depending on experience) plus bonus potential and benefits. Office is based near Roslyn on Long Island. Hybrid schedule.
