AI Functional Senior Consultant

Job Description We are looking for a client‑facing professional to support and deliver AI and advanced analytics solutions across our portfolio of clients. The role involves analyzing business processes, engaging stakeholders, translating requirements into technical specifications, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.

Responsibilities

Conduct in‑depth analysis of business processes to identify automation opportunities using process mining and task mining tools.

Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders to refine project objectives and present preliminary results.

Participate in client engagements, workshops, and training sessions to gather requirements and articulate GenAI capabilities.

Identify and prioritize AI use cases, aligning them with business goals and ensuring feasibility.

Validate solution viability through data exploration, experimentation, and lightweight proof‑of‑concept buildouts.

Produce detailed user stories, test requirements, and supporting documentation to minimize ambiguity.

Collaborate with development teams to estimate effort, translate requirements into technical specifications, and review test scenarios.

Serve as liaison between functional and technical teams, ensuring client expectations are met.

Manage early‑stage AI project tasks, timelines, resources, and deliverables to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.

Continuously assess and improve methodologies and tools used by the functional team.

Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal teams on GenAI use cases.

Requirements

3+ years in a client‑facing role with demonstrable experience in AI or advanced analytics initiatives.

Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem for AI (Azure Cognitive Services, Azure ML, Power BI, Power Platform).

Experience producing clear, testable functional and non‑functional requirements.

Understanding of product/software development cycles; basic knowledge of MLOps or AI product development is advantageous.

Preferred Certifications

Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL‑200) or equivalent.

Intermediate‑level AI or data certifications such as DP‑100.

Business analysis credentials (e.g., CCBA).

Required Skills

Client relationship management and high client satisfaction.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on aligning AI solutions with business needs.

Proven experience creating artifacts and documenting requirements for software projects.

Experience with Microsoft AI and Power Platform technologies.

Common understanding of Product Development and Software Development Life Cycles.

Preferred Skills

Background in business analysis and translating business needs into technical requirements.

Experience with analysis techniques (scope diagrams, data models, use cases, etc.).

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and AI Ops best practices.

Experience with Azure AI, Machine Learning, and cognitive services.

Familiarity with prompt engineering and tools such as Enterprise ChatGPT or Azure AI Studio.

Experience with DevOps practices within the Microsoft environment.

Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and AI trends.

Strong cross‑training and knowledge‑sharing mindset.

Open to remote work across the United States.
