We are seeking a talented Product Designer who is passionate about solving big problems and creating exceptional designs to partner on boldly evolving our shared platform experiences (Shared X). On the Shared X team, you will contribute to delivering E2E experiences that enable small to mid‑sized businesses to get the most out of the QuickBooks ecosystem via Better Together and Done for you benefits—saving them time, inspiring confidence, and ultimately increasing their profitability. As a Product Designer, you will contribute to meaningful experiences within a defined product area. You'll translate financial workflows into clear, well‑crafted solutions that balance customer needs and business goals. You'll be developing your ability to deliver high‑quality work with increasing independence, building the judgment and craft that raises the bar for usability within your team.
Responsibilities Craft Excellence & Systems Thinking
Contribute to end‑to‑end experiences, moving from low‑fidelity flows to high‑fidelity designs that meet usability, accessibility, and visual standards
Apply interaction design patterns appropriately and articulate the rationale behind your design decisions
Develop your visual design skills, ensuring harmony and consistency within your product scope
Incorporate motion and transitions that feel purposeful and grounded in how users experience the product
Systems & Practices
Use standard design tools proficiently and adopt AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of your workflow
Apply design system components correctly and contribute to keeping standards consistent within your area
Follow established design and legal best practices, including accessibility requirements and competitive research guidelines
Data Fluency & Technical Partnership
Develop an understanding of how your work connects to project metrics and team outcomes
Partner with Engineering to ensure your designs are feasible and implemented with care
Begin building familiarity with behavioral data and how it informs design decisions
Collaboration & Growth
Communicate your design thinking clearly to teammates and stakeholders, presenting work with confidence and rationale
Seek and incorporate feedback actively, participating in critiques to improve both your own work and the team's
Collaborate effectively across Product, Engineering, and Research within your immediate team
Qualifications What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience designing digital products
Solid foundation in interaction design and visual craft
Ability to work independently on defined problems with guidance
A portfolio demonstrating clear thinking, strong execution, and attention to detail
Curiosity, coachability, and a genuine interest in how design impacts real people's financial lives
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs. Pay offered is based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:
New York: 131,500–178,000
Bay Area: 132,500–179,000
