Role Overview
This role is designed to significantly expand the firm’s capacity by shifting day-to-day planning execution and project ownership away from the founder, allowing for greater focus on client relationships and business growth. Key Responsibilities
Join client meetings as co-advisor for discovery, planning, and review conversations.
Explain complex tax, estate, insurance, and investment topics in clear, practical terms.
Build ongoing relationships so clients experience a cohesive advisory team.
Confidently contribute to client conversations with thoughtful insights and recommendations, not solely support.
Planning & Projects
Run complex projects in coordination with CPAs, attorneys, and insurance professionals.
Prepare portfolio and planning review materials that tie investments to the plan.
Coordinate with team on delivery of NewSpring Wealth Planning Calendar.
Independently develop, update, and refine comprehensive financial plans, with final review and collaboration from the founder.
Identify planning opportunities proactively (tax, estate, cash flow, etc.) and bring forward recommendations.
Implementation & Process
Translate recommendations into clear implementation steps and ensure follow-through.
Keep client data and documentation accurate and up to date in CRM and planning tools.
Help improve and document key planning and review workflows.
Leverage and adapt to multiple planning and technology platforms (e.g., Holistiplan, Wealth.com, CRM tools) to enhance efficiency and client outcomes.
Take ownership of organizing and executing internal planning workflows with a focus on scalability.
Growth & COIs
Participate in select prospect and COI meetings as part of the advisory team.
Support relationship-building efforts with centers of influence (COIs), with opportunity to deepen involvement over time based on interest and experience.
Contribute ideas and technical input to client education and firm content.
Requirements Success in the First 12 Months
Take on meaningful planning and meeting responsibilities for a defined group of clients.
Deliver complex planning projects reliably, with positive feedback from clients and professional partners.
Improve clarity and efficiency of core planning and review processes.
Clearly increase the founder’s capacity by absorbing defined planning and client-facing duties.
Demonstrate the ability to operate with increasing independence in both planning and client interactions.
Become a trusted second voice in client relationships.
Experience & Qualifications
5–10+ years of financial planning or advisory experience with direct planning responsibility.
Experience working with affluent or high-net-worth clients and external professionals.
Strong knowledge of retirement, tax-related strategies, estate planning concepts, insurance, and portfolio review.
Skills & Attributes
Excellent communicator in both meetings and written follow-up.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through; able to manage multiple projects.
Collaborative, low-ego, client-first, and interested in a long-term role in a growing firm.
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
High level of professionalism and polish in client interactions.
Tech-savvy and adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn and leverage multiple financial planning and workflow tools.
