Commercial Banking Market Leader – Bowie, MD – Job # 3767-20568. This is not a remote position. Salary up to $225K with full benefits. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a business development team consisting of Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers and Loan Portfolio Specialists. Ensure proper staffing for the assigned region to reflect efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness. Collaborate with management to develop annual sales goals. Assess and report market conditions and activity in the respective market area. Work with management of other lines of business to develop and execute targeted business development initiatives aligned with the bank’s strategic plan. Handle inquiries and/or client issues related to the assigned region that are of more than a routine nature. Review nCino reports regularly to ensure the team conducts the appropriate level of activities to achieve target goals. Coordinate regularly scheduled meetings with the team and with other lines of business within the bank. May participate in direct customer meetings to increase opportunities to retain or enhance relationships. Actively participate in community events and maintain memberships in local, non-profit organizations (preferably in an executive/board role). Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management, safety and soundness, and regulatory compliance (e.g., CRA, BSA, EEOA, SAFE Act). Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Business, Accounting, or Finance. MBA preferred. Ten years of commercial banking experience with at least five years in commercial credit review or credit experience. Direct lending and lending/sales management experience ideal. Experience with Consumer Lending is ideal. Demonstrated leadership ability. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient in Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
