Job Description The Technical Sales Representative for NDT products is responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy for a defined territory, implementing the sales plan, promoting and demonstrating the company's products and services with the goal of attaining a sales target. The role requires a deep understanding of the technical features of all products in the line and the ability to effectively demonstrate them to customers. This outside sales position requires traveling approximately 60% of the time to conduct product demonstrations and sales within the assigned territory.

Job Duties

Meet sales targets for the territory on all products.

Visit customers daily to demonstrate products and discuss sales opportunities.

Follow up on all leads provided by EVIDENT.

Prospect and cold‑call to identify new business opportunities.

Prepare timely quotations to customers in collaboration with sales engineers and support staff.

Work closely with others at EVIDENT to coordinate overall selling efforts.

Review and improve the Sales Plan to increase sales to active and prospective customers, ensuring full territory coverage and high in‑field time.

Respond promptly to all customer phone calls and emails.

Use the EVIDENT CRM package for daily tasks and management reporting.

Submit all periodic sales reports, calendar events, and opportunity management updates on time.

Coordinate sales to key accounts within the territory with the key account managers.

Participate in local professional organizations and present on relevant topics.

Operate within the EVIDENT Code of Ethics policy.

Learn and implement the Miller Heiman strategic selling methodology.

Attend sales meetings as required.

Education

Associate's degree in NDT or a related technical or business discipline, or equivalent technical experience.

Experience

Minimum 1+ year experience in high‑end capital equipment sales or similar selling skills, with training desired.

Required Qualifications

Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to learn the scientific principles and technology of the equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

Sales territory management experience.

Self‑directed, highly motivated strategic thinker.

Other Considerations (Travel/Hours)

Approximately 60% travel within the assigned territory.

Compensation

Base salary or annualized hourly compensation plus uncapped commission incentives.

Expected total compensation range: $120,000 to $210,000.

Positions may be located at export‑controlled sites and require proof of U.S. Person status.
