About the job
The YouTube Strategy, Analytics and Finance (SAF) team’s mission is to make YouTube more valuable by identifying and steering the business towards the biggest opportunities, guiding the organization to make the best possible decisions, and enabling effective implementation with proactive and trusted risk management.
Within this group, the Strategy team operates similar to an internal management consulting team, driving high-impact projects commissioned directly by YouTube’s executive leadership. The team leads projects that drive recommendations on YouTube’s biggest opportunities, new trends, and key issues from navigating evolving TV dynamics, to the rise of GenAI, to analyzing new business opportunities in subscriptions, streaming, music, sports, and more.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$316,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
13 years of experience in management consulting or other equivalent business strategy experience.
Experience in analytics.
Preferred qualifications
MBA, Master's degree or PhD in a Management, Technical or Engineering field.
12 years of experience in consulting or corporate strategy in relevant industry (e.g., internet or media).
Experience leading operations and initiatives.
Ability to work with and present to executives and communicate with a technical management team.
Excellent problem‑solving and business judgment skills.
Responsibilities
Work with YouTube's executive leadership to define, launch, and drive initiatives across our media, TV and music areas.
Structure and execute initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses, and developing and communicating final recommendations.
Lead cross‑functional, global teams to develop compelling recommendations.
Communicate findings to leadership and to the broader organization.
Drive recommendations through implementation and results.
