$98,425–$127,000 Department/School/Program: Careerline Tech Center, Holland, MI Reports To: Director of Careerline Tech Center Job Type: Full-Time Start Date: July 1, 2026 FLSA: Exempt The Ottawa Area ISD is seeking a student-centered, systems-minded leader to serve as an Assistant Director for Careerline Tech Center (CTC). As the primary on-site administrator for the CTC East campus, the Assistant Director is responsible for executing the Director’s overarching vision and ensuring operational excellence within a premier Career and Technical Education (CTE) environment. This role is designed for a highly visible leader who thrives on building adult capacity, fostering a safe and professional school culture, and bridging the gap between high-level strategy and building-level execution. Working in close collaboration with a centralized leadership team – including the Director, Assistant Director of CTC West, a Dean of Students, and a Curriculum Specialist – the Assistant Director serves as the “anchor” for CTC East. This position balances instructional leadership through teacher evaluations with the management of complex student conduct and staff supervision. Essential Job Functions

Building Leadership: Serve as the primary, highly visible administrator for the CTC East campus, ensuring a safe and professional school culture. Staff Supervision and Evaluation: Lead or co-lead formal staff evaluations (teachers) per OAISD processes; provide actionable feedback, growth plans, and follow-up coaching to enhance instructional practices. Leadership Team Alignment: Collaborate with the CTC Director and administrative team to ensure consistent implementation of the center’s vision, academic instruction, and student support systems across both buildings. Student Conduct Management: Serve as the initial point of contact for significant student discipline; ensure responses align with policy, restorative practices, and student dignity. Operational Oversight: Act under the guidance of the CTC Director to provide supervision of day-to-day program operations and facility needs at the building level. Team Participation: Serve on the Building Improvement Team; participate in program-specific Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management meetings and other assigned committees. Committee Facilitation: Lead and facilitate assigned staff committees as part of the center’s leadership structure to drive program improvement and collaborative decision-making. Direct Personnel Management: Provide leadership and build capacity while acting as the primary supervisor for an assigned group of staff members. Technology Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to utilize school management systems, staff evaluation software, and data visualization tools. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace for collaborative project management and professional presentations. Use of Data: Support data-driven problem solving to improve student outcomes. Meeting Participation: Attend additional meetings as assigned by the CTC Director (Program Advisory Meetings, New Teacher Orientation, etc.). Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Career and Technical Education, or a related field. Valid Michigan School Administrator Certificate (or eligibility to obtain). 3+ years of successful school leadership or instructional experience. Experience and/or understanding of Career and Technical Education (CTE) is preferred Proven ability with coaching adults, resolving student conflict, and conducting evaluations with growth-oriented feedback. Must be able to move frequently throughout school buildings and program spaces to maintain a visible and supportive presence for staff and students. Must possess the fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers, mobile devices, and office machinery. Must be able to navigate various school environments, including technical labs and construction sites, safely. Requires the visual acuity to analyze complex data reports and supervise student activities in diverse settings. Must have the auditory ability to engage in high-stakes negotiations, conduct staff interviews, and respond to emergency signals or radio communications Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., files, materials, equipment). Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of environments, including loud technical labs and professional meeting spaces. Compensation and Employment Details

Pay Range: $98,425–$127,000 Salary, commensurate with experience. Schedule: Full-time, Full Year, 261 days per year. Employee Group: Non-union salary.
