Supplier Management Specialist

Ensure supplier auditing, monitoring, selection and qualification for delivering quality materials on time.
Apply risk-oriented quality assurance methodologies and develop supplier capabilities.
Expediting responsibilities: Actively monitor and push suppliers to meet delivery schedules, especially for critical equipment and project timelines.
Qualify potential and existing external suppliers of direct materials and services (DM&S). Quality surveillance at supplier manufacturing site. Perform supply quality issue resolution including supplier claims preparation. Lead supplier performance evaluation and supplier quality development activities. Establish and maintain local supplier quality related procedures & practices, based on global procedures and secure full supplier management.
Key Responsibilities Conduct audits and assessments; verify closure of non-conformances. Ensure compliance with Supplier Code of Conduct, ethics, and regulatory requirements. Schedule, monitor, and approve supplier parts and materials. Perform on-site quality surveillance and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) where applicable. Expediting & Delivery Assurance. Coordinate closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Perform pre-shipment inspections, FAT (Final Acceptance Test), and packing inspections. Escalate delays and implement corrective actions in collaboration with SCM and project teams. Lead supplier performance evaluations and improvement plans. Manage claims and non-conformances, ensuring root cause analysis and resolution.
Skills & Experience Technical Background: Supplier, Quality, SCM, Expediting, or experience in lieu of. Quality Tools: PPAP, Lean Six Sigma, Advanced Product Quality Planning. Soft Skills: Strong communication for supplier interface, ability to expedite and resolve issues under pressure.
Additional Notes Part-time Position (approximately 30 hours/week – some remote work/on site approximately once a week). Some roles include global coordination and use of tools like EcoVadis, ISNetworld, and SAP for supplier management. Expediting is often tied to project environments, requiring close collaboration with technical teams and logistics. Focus will be on Suppliers of Electrical Housing, Panels and Battery Systems for construction of a Data Center.
