Associate Director of Paid Media (Search & Social) , here in downtown Chicago.
We are seeking a strategic and client-facing Associate Director of Paid Media to lead performance‑driven campaigns across Google and Meta platforms.
This role is ideal for a subject matter expert who can both execute and confidently advise clients, guiding paid media strategy and driving measurable business results.
What You’ll Do
Paid Media Strategy: Develop and lead full‑funnel paid media strategies across Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube) and Meta (Facebook, Instagram) aligned to client goals
Client Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients—presenting strategies, performance insights, and recommendations with confidence and clarity
Campaign Oversight: Guide the execution, optimization, and scaling of paid search and paid social campaigns, ensuring best practices are followed
Budget Ownership: Manage and allocate budgets to maximize efficiency, ROAS, and overall performance
Performance Optimization: Analyze KPIs (CPA, ROAS, CTR, CVR) and drive continuous improvement through testing and optimization
Audience Strategy: Build and refine audience segments using first‑party data, lookalikes, and platform targeting capabilities
Testing & Innovation: Lead A/B testing across creative, targeting, and bidding strategies to improve performance
Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members and collaborate cross‑functionally with creative, analytics, and account teams
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of hands‑on experience in paid search (Google Ads) and paid social (Meta Ads)
Deep platform expertise with the ability to speak confidently to strategy, execution, and performance
Proven experience presenting to clients and translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
Strong track record of optimizing campaigns to hit CPA/ROAS goals
Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, platform reporting, etc.)
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience managing or mentoring team members
Our client has a flexible, hybrid schedule of three days in, two days remote.
This position pays $115k-$125k based on experience and offers a full suite of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with PTO and 401k.
