Senior Director, IT Security and Infrastructure Operations

Reporting to the Vice President of IT and Facilities, the Senior Director of IT Security and Infrastructure Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT Security and Infrastructure Operations within the organization. This role ensures the integrity, availability, and reliability of technology systems and data, while establishing and maintaining robust security protocols to protect company assets. The Senior Director will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and drive continuous improvements in IT operations. This role is based in our Waltham, MA headquarters. Our office-based employees are required to work in the office three (3) days a week. Responsibilities

Lead the IT Security and Infrastructure Operations teams, setting strategic direction and operational priorities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive IT security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard information assets Oversee the design, deployment, and management of network, server, and storage infrastructure to ensure high performance and scalability Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, responding proactively to emerging threats and incidents Manage security audits, compliance initiatives, and regulatory requirements related to IT operations Own the enterprise security strategy/roadmap, with measurable objectives and KPIs (e.g., risk reduction, control maturity) Maintain and mature a risk management program (risk register, treatment plans, exception process) Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT infrastructure and security strategies with business objectives Drive continuous improvement in operational processes, incident response, and disaster recovery planning Mentor and develop IT staff, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth Cultivate and sustain strong vendor relationships, overseeing contract negotiation, performance management, and ensuring vendors meet agreed-upon service levels Drive continuous operational improvement and implement automation strategies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations Generate capacity plans and budgets that meet the growth, scalability, and changing needs of the business, optimizing costs across cloud and on-premises infrastructure Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures based on industry-standard best practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure needs Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on IT initiatives, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with business objectives Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and innovations, evaluating their potential impact on the organization and integrating relevant advancements into the IT strategy Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 15+ years of experience in IT management, with a strong focus on security and infrastructure operations Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCNP, ITIL) highly preferred Proven leadership abilities, exceptional communication skills, and experience managing cross-functional teams Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, network architecture, and cloud technologies Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills Proven mindset of proactive continuous improvement Efficient independent worker with ability to focus and drive for results Strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple tasks Strong commitment to ethical standards Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) Ability to travel up to 10% The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience Benefits
