What You’ll Do As an
MRO Route Sales Driver , you will:
Manage and grow a dedicated territory of industrial accounts through a structured route
Drive a company-provided, fully stocked mobile sales vehicle (box truck)
Build strong relationships with plant managers, maintenance teams, and purchasing professionals
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts
Prospect and open new business within your territory
Provide same-day solutions by delivering critical MRO supplies directly to customers
Conduct product demonstrations and recommend solutions tailored to customer needs
Track sales activity, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities
Maintain accurate inventory on the truck, including daily counts and restocking coordination
Ensure vehicle cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety and DOT standards
Stay informed on product offerings, industry trends, and vendor programs
What You Bring You may be a great fit if you:
Have 2+ years of outside sales, route sales, or industrial distribution experience
Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and can operate a box truck
Have strong mechanical aptitude and are comfortable in industrial or manufacturing environments
Are self-motivated and able to manage a full route independently
Have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Excel at building relationships with a wide range of customers, from technicians to engineers
Are comfortable using mobile technology (CRM apps, order entry tools, GPS routing)
Have strong time management and organizational skills
Preferred but not required:
Experience in MRO, industrial supply, or route-based sales
Familiarity with VMI or inventory management programs
Knowledge of cutting tools, abrasives, fasteners, or safety supplies
Class B CDL - Preferred not required
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with assistance
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Extended periods of driving (1–3 hours daily)
Comfortable working in industrial environments (noise, dust, temperature variations)
