Digital Marketing Strategist - Paid Search

About the Position We are looking for a Search Strategist to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, while also being comfortable owning their work independently and executing at a high level. You should enjoy building and optimizing campaigns that directly impact client growth.

You’ll play a key role in developing and managing paid search strategies across multiple industries, while also overseeing SEO efforts and ensuring alignment between paid and organic search campaigns. Success in this role requires strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership, stay focused, and consistently follow through.

This is a full-time, hybrid position (remote Fridays) based in Tulsa, OK.

Job Responsibilities

Execute paid search campaigns from strategy through launch and optimization

Work closely with the Digital Director to develop tailored strategies based on client goals and

Build and structure campaigns across Google Ads, including Performance Max and Local Service Ads

Manage and optimize campaigns to improve performance, efficiency, and lead quality

Monitor search terms, user intent, and keyword performance to refine targeting

Conduct competitive research to identify opportunities and positioning strategies

Write clear, compelling ad copy aligned with search intent

Track and report on KPIs, providing insights and recommendations

Think through the full customer journey and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates

Bring forward insights and recommendations, and confidently challenge ideas when there is a better

path to performance

Own and manage multiple accounts efficiently across various industries, balancing priorities and

deadlines

SEO Coordination & Oversight

Own coordination between internal teams, clients and the SEO team

Participate in recurring SEO meetings (monthly, mid-month check-ins, and quarterly strategy

reviews)

Monitor SEO deliverables to ensure timelines and scope are met; follow up as needed

Review and distribute SEO reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity

Coordinate approvals and implementation of SEO recommendations with internal teams or clients

Support SEO strategy alignment, including keyword direction and overall search visibility goals

Assist in gathering client insights, assets, and approvals needed for SEO execution

Campaign Operations & Reporting

Set up and manage Google Ads campaigns, including conversion tracking and launch checklists

Launch and manage YouTube campaigns as needed

Manage Local Services Ads onboarding, verification, and ongoing optimization

Conduct regular performance reviews and deep dives to identify optimization opportunities

Monitor budget pacing and make adjustments to ensure campaigns stay on target

Prepare and deliver monthly digital reports

Stay up to date on platform updates, trends, and best practices in paid search and search marketing overall

Skills

Strong understanding of search intent and how it translates into campaign performance

Hands-on experience with Google Ads, including Performance Max campaigns

Familiarity with Local Services Ads (LSA) and lead-based campaign strategies

Ability to analyze data and make strategic optimization decisions

Strong communication skills (internal and client-facing)

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

Excellent time management with the ability to prioritize workload, stay focused, and execute

efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Strong work ethic with the ability to stay focused and consistently execute

Collaborative team player who is also comfortable working independently and managing their own

Proactive, problem-solving mindset

Solid understanding of overall digital marketing strategy

Requirements

2+ years of experience managing paid search campaigns

Proven experience with Google Ads

Experience with Local Services Ads and Vehicle Listing Ads strongly preferred

Experience working with lead generation campaigns

Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

Experience collaborating with SEO teams or understanding of how paid and organic efforts align
